Gulf of Manfredonia earthquake hits with magnitude 3.2

A magnitude 3.2 earthquake occurred in the Gulf of Manfredonia on September 22, 2026, at 06:48 local time. The seismic event was recorded at a depth of 27 kilometers.

The epicenter was located in the sea, approximately 14 kilometers from Manfredonia and 16 kilometers from Mattinata, Monte Sant’Angelo, and Zapponeta. This tremor marks the second earthquake in the area within a 24-hour period, following a previous event on September 21.

According to the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), this is the 48th seismic event with a magnitude of 2.0 or higher detected in the Foggia province since the beginning of the year.
