Gulf states endorse Gaza peace plan as Israeli attacks intensify

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Jordan, Egypt, Turkey, Pakistan and Indonesia issued a joint declaration supporting the existing Gaza peace plan. The statement urged the preservation of diplomatic mechanisms, condemned recent Israeli military operations that threaten civilian infrastructure, and called for a reduction in violence to enable reconstruction of the Strip.

Israel said its operations aim to prevent Hamas from rearming. The peace plan, backed by the United States, calls for progressive disarmament of Hamas, a phased Israeli troop withdrawal, the establishment of a transitional Palestinian civil administration, deployment of an international stabilization force, reconstruction of destroyed infrastructure, restoration of public services and continued humanitarian aid.
