Gulfstream earns NBAA sustainable flight reaccreditation
Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has achieved reaccreditation through the National Business Aviation Association’s (NBAA) Sustainable Flight Department Accreditation Program. The company is the first original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to hold accreditation across all four program categories—flight, ground support, infrastructure, and operational activities—and the first OEM to earn reaccreditation.
Since a 2019 baseline, Gulfstream reported a 44% reduction in fuel consumption and flight emissions across its Flight Department fleet, alongside a 21% improvement in emissions per flight hour. The company also noted a reduction in ground support emissions through the use of electric tugs and EV charging infrastructure, as well as a 43% reduction in employee air travel emissions.
Additional environmental milestones include a 25% reduction in emissions intensity per square foot and the maintenance of over 2.3 million square feet of LEED- and BREEAM-certified facilities.
