Oral health experts warn against ignoring recurring gum bleeding
Health experts warn that recurring bleeding from the gums should not be ignored, as it often serves as a warning sign for underlying issues such as gingivitis or periodontitis. While many people attribute bleeding during tooth brushing to aggressive brushing, data from the World Health Organization indicates that approximately half of the adult population faces gum problems.
Symptoms of gum inflammation may include redness, swelling, persistent bad breath, or sensitive tooth necks. While gingivitis is limited to the soft tissue, more advanced conditions like periodontitis can lead to gum recession and loose teeth. Maintaining consistent daily hygiene and regular dental visits are essential for prevention and early diagnosis.
