Gumi Local Food Festa to be held at Seoul Plaza

Gumi City will host the ‘2026 Gumi Local Food Festa’ at Seoul Plaza for two days starting September 9. The event aims to introduce Gumi’s premium agricultural and livestock products to metropolitan consumers and expand market channels.

Approximately 40 farms and companies will participate, showcasing 142 items including Gumi Hanwoo beef, melons, and various G-food processed products. Discounts will be offered, with Hanwoo beef up to 29% off and certain G-food items up to 55% off. A special auction hosted by comedian Lee Sun-min, a Gumi native, may offer discounts of up to 80%.

To support international expansion, the festival will include an export consultation session featuring buyers from six countries, including the United States, Canada, and Japan. The event will also feature promotional booths for Gumi tourism, hometown love donations, and consultations for returning to farming.
