Gun Attack in Istanbul's Sultangazi Leaves One Seriously Injured

On the night of 6 July 2026, around 22:30, an armed confrontation broke out on 2393 Street in the Esentepe neighbourhood of Sultangazi, Istanbul. Two men arrived on a stolen motorcycle, got into a verbal dispute with a third individual and then opened fire, severely wounding the victim’s abdomen and shoulder. The injured person was taken to hospital by emergency responders.

The attackers fled the scene on foot, abandoning the stolen motorcycle, which police later towed to a parking area. Investigators are reviewing nearby security‑camera footage and have launched a detailed inquiry to identify the suspects.
