Guna: Man shot dead in family land dispute

A fatal shooting occurred in Saretha village, located in the Sirsi police station area of Guna district, Madhya Pradesh, on Sunday night. The victim, 40-year-old Vijay Yadav, was shot during a dispute regarding the division of approximately 500 bighas of forest department land.

Authorities have accused Vishal, the son of the victim's elder brother Bharat Singh Yadav, of firing the shots. Following the incident, Vijay Yadav was rushed to the district hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

The victim's elder brother, Veer Bahadur Singh Saretha—a BJP leader noted for his proximity to Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia—reportedly suffered a health complication at the hospital upon hearing of his brother's death. Police have initiated an investigation and are working to apprehend the accused, who was reportedly admitted to the Markimahu primary health center.
