Gundam esports tournament GGGP 2026 concludes in Tokyo

The GGGP 2026 Supported by SANKYO esports tournament, featuring the arcade game ‘Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS 2 Infinite Boost’, concluded on August 22, 2026, at the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo. Organized by Bandai Namco Filmworks, the event featured 64 teams and 128 players competing for a total prize pool of 10 million yen.

The team ‘2024 no Return Match’ claimed the championship after defeating ‘Providence-chan’ with a 3-1 score in a best-of-five final. The winners received 6 million yen. The third-place position was taken by ‘Tengoku no Yamamoto e’ after a 3-0 victory over ‘Yuma-san Tonari Shitsurei Shimasu’.

The event included various fan attractions, such as 1/1 scale Gundam model heads and sponsor booths from SANKYO and OWNDAYS. Despite heavy rain outside the venue, the tournament maintained high engagement through a structured double-elimination and single-elimination format.
