Gunna announces upcoming album ‘Splurge’

Atlanta rapper Gunna has announced that his upcoming album, titled ‘Splurge’, is in development. During an interview with Forbes at a Nasdaq event, the artist indicated that the project could arrive as early as October, though he noted he does not have a fixed release date and will not rush the process.

Gunna described the new project as an attempt to introduce a ‘new next level’ of his artistry, characterizing the sound as that of an ‘upper-echelon artist’. The announcement follows his 2025 release, ‘The Last Wun’, which debuted at number three on the Billboard 200.

In addition to the new music, Gunna addressed his professional status following expectations that ‘The Last Wun’ would conclude his contract with YSL Records. He stated he is not operating as a free agent, noting that discussions are underway regarding future support and production for his upcoming work.
