GUNNAR Optiks launches Ojai Vision Recovery System

GUNNAR Optiks has launched the Ojai Vision Recovery System, a wearable device designed to mitigate the effects of prolonged screen use. Moving beyond its traditional focus on digital eye protection eyewear, the company is now targeting post-screen recovery through a concept called ‘The Missing 10 Minutes,’ which encourages users to dedicate time to ocular relaxation.

The device is designed as a full-blackout mask and utilizes a combination of physical stimuli to promote relaxation. Key technical features include integrated air compression technology, heat treatment reaching approximately 43°C (109°F), and vibration functions to assist facial muscle relaxation. To enhance the user experience, the wearable includes Bluetooth audio and offers five distinct modes of application.

Designed for professionals, gamers, and students, the foldable, rechargeable device aims to provide a structured recovery ritual. Preliminary pilot studies suggest the system can significantly reduce eye discomfort following intensive digital device usage.
