Gunnedah wins AFL North West women’s grand final

In the AFL North West grand finals held at Varley Oval, Gunnedah secured a 21-point victory over Inverell in the women’s decider. The final score was 6.5 (41) to 2.8 (20).

After a highly contested first half, Gunnedah established momentum in the second and third quarters through midfield running and speed. Despite efforts from Inverell captain Clare McCosker to close the gap late in the game, Gunnedah maintained their lead to claim the title.
