Gunnison Copper expands drilling operations in Arizona

Gunnison Copper is accelerating its drilling program in Arizona, planning to increase its active drill rig fleet from two to six by September. The company is executing a 15 million USD drilling program that aims to complete up to 120 drill holes totaling approximately 42,000 meters.

The company has completed the initial phase of metallurgical drilling at its primary Gunnison project. Core samples have been sent to independent laboratories to determine the most efficient processing methods for the copper ore. Simultaneously, drilling has commenced at the Strong & Harris satellite deposit.

Testing is also underway to determine if zinc and silver can be economically recovered as by-products. The Strong & Harris deposit contains an inferred resource of 76 million tonnes at 0.49% copper, alongside significant amounts of zinc and silver. CEO Craig Hallworth stated that the expansion is intended to increase the pace of drilling to expand and upgrade the resource base. Preliminary results are expected in the fourth quarter of 2026.
