Gunpo City announces performance awards for municipal excellence
Gunpo City has finalized the selection of 10 excellent cases for its performance award program for the second half of 2026. The selection was made during a committee meeting presided over by Vice Mayor Choi Hong-gyu.
Introduced in 2021, the incentive system rewards departments and employees for outstanding achievements in municipal development, securing national or provincial funds, and external evaluations. Incentives are tiered based on contribution, ranging from 300,000 won to a maximum of 10 million won.
The selected cases are divided into two categories. In the municipal development sector, notable achievements include using data analysis to optimize CCTV locations in crime-prone areas, improving public contribution plans for the Gunpo Station area, and managing high-value delinquent parking fines.
In the external evaluation sector, departments were recognized for excellence in the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s 2025 Local Government Innovation Evaluation, information disclosure assessments, and Gyeonggi Province’s 2026 gender equality policy evaluations.
