Gunpo City hosts science, arts, and reading festivals

Gunpo City is hosting several community-focused events, including the ‘2026 Gunpo Youth Club X Science Festival’ and the ‘2026 Gunpo Reading Festival’.

The Science Festival, organized by the Gunpo Youth Foundation, focuses on the fusion of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education. The event features 50 experiential booths where youth explore scientific principles through art and digital technology, alongside a special insect and reptile exhibition.

The Reading Festival, themed ‘Read the World, Meet Yourself’, incorporates citizen-proposed ideas and advanced technology. Highlights include a digital detox reading challenge, book prescriptions, and demonstrations of autonomous book-delivery robots.

Additionally, Gunpo City conducted professional training for 37 consumer food hygiene inspectors to strengthen local food safety management and prevent food poisoning.
