Guns N’ Roses: 35 years of the ‘Use Your Illusion’ albums

The rock band Guns N’ Roses released the double studio album diptych, ‘Use Your Illusion I’ and ‘Use Your Illusion II’, on September 17, 1991. The release consisted of 30 songs spanning over two and a half hours of music, marking a significant expansion of the band’s hard rock sound to include piano, ballads, and longer arrangements.

Despite internal tensions and the band’s fragmentation during the recording period, the albums were a commercial success, with both reaching the top of the Billboard 200 in the United States. Notable tracks from the collection include ‘November Rain’, ‘Don’t Cry’, ‘Civil War’, and ‘You Could Be Mine’.
