Guns N' Roses and Chris Stapleton perform together in Toronto

Guns N' Roses and country artist Chris Stapleton engaged in a series of musical exchanges during back-to-back performances at Rogers Stadium in Toronto, Canada. During the Guns N' Roses set on Wednesday, August 5, Stapleton joined the band on stage to perform a duet with Axl Rose on the Bob Dylan cover, “Knockin' on Heaven's Door”.

Stapleton returned to the stage the following evening for his own headlining show. After initially attempting to perform the Guns N' Roses track “Patience” solo, he was joined by band members Slash and Duff McKagan for an acoustic rendition of the song.

The artists share a professional history, including Stapleton opening for the band's reunion tour in 2016 and collaborating with Slash on his 2024 solo album, Orgy of the Damned.
