Gunther Werks unveils GXR-Evo Porsche 911 remaster

Gunther Werks has unveiled the GXR-Evo, an extreme remasterization of the Porsche 911 993-generation. Unveiled at Monterey Car Week, the vehicle is described as the company’s most extreme and fastest naturally aspirated creation to date.

The GXR-Evo features a 4.0-liter air-cooled, twin-valve flat-six engine developed with Rothsport Racing. This engine produces 455hp and is capable of revving to 9,000rpm. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a six-speed Getrag manual gearbox.

Designed for high performance, the car utilizes a full carbon-fiber body to achieve a dry weight of just 1,082 kg, which is approximately 95 kg lighter than previous 993-based models from the firm. The aerodynamic package includes a high-downforce rear wing, a massive diffuser, a front splitter, canards, and vented arches. Other technical specifications include JRZ three-way adjustable dampers, Brembo racing brakes, magnesium center-lock wheels, and a Kevlar racing seat.
