Gunwi BBQ Festival to open at Samguk Yusa Theme Park

The 2026 Gunwi BBQ Festival is scheduled to take place from October 31 to November 1 at the Samguk Yusa Theme Park in Gunwi, Gyeongsangbuk-do. The event aims to boost the local economy and attract tourists by showcasing the region's high-quality livestock products, specifically Hanwoo (Korean beef) and Handon (Korean pork).

Attendees can choose from approximately 40 food vendors, including food trucks offering whole pig barbecue, jar barbecue, and various snacks. Musical performances will feature ballad singer Lyn on the opening day and trot singer Yoyomi on the second day, alongside mobile parades.

For families, the festival includes large air bounce play zones, craft workshops, and access to the Ai-nuri Kids Park and Media Art Center. To encourage attendance, entrance fees to the theme park will be discounted by up to 50%, and a payback event using Gunwi Love Gift Certificates will be conducted. Free shuttle buses will also operate during the event.
