Gur Hasidic community reaches settlement with Rabbi Shaul Alter’s group

A settlement has been reached to resolve a long-standing dispute between the Gur Hasidic community and the Pnei Menachem community led by Rabbi Shaul Alter. The agreement was signed in the office of Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court President Judge Shmuel Herbst and carries the force of a court judgment.

As part of the settlement, defendants associated with the Gur Hasidic community accepted responsibility for past incidents, expressed regret, and committed to refraining from future harassment. In exchange, the plaintiffs agreed to waive their financial claims. The legal conflict originated from a 2022 dispute involving a telephone recording that plaintiffs claim led to disturbances and violence against institutions and individuals associated with Rabbi Alter’s community.
