The second Pradosh Vrat of the Bhadrapad month in 2026 will be observed on Thursday, September 24. Because it falls on a Thursday, it is specifically referred to as Guru Pradosh Vrat.

According to the Hindu calendar, the Trayodashi tithi begins at 10:50 PM on September 23 and concludes at 11:18 PM on September 24. The auspicious Pradosh Kaal for worship is scheduled for the evening of September 24.

Devotees observe this fast dedicated to Lord Shiva to seek blessings for knowledge, prosperity, and marital happiness. Rituals typically involve bathing, taking a vow of fasting, and performing an abhishekam on the Shivalinga using water, milk, curd, ghee, honey, and Ganges water.
