Gurugram police raid multiple spa centers for suspected illegal activities

Authorities in Gurugram conducted a series of raids targeting illegal activities operating under the guise of wellness and spa services. In a major operation at Sapphire 90 Mall in Sector 90, a joint team comprising the Gurugram Police and the Haryana State Commission for Women inspected approximately 18 spa centers. The six-hour raid, which took place between 10 pm and 3 am, involved nearly 100 police personnel and was conducted in the presence of a duty magistrate.

During the mall operation, officials detained approximately 30 women and 20 men for questioning. Preliminary findings indicated evidence of illegal activities at eight of the inspected establishments. Authorities seized electronic devices, digital equipment, and physical documents, and reported the recovery of suspicious substances and objectionable items. There are also concerns regarding the potential involvement of minors.

In a separate incident in Sector 19, police raided ‘Ras Wellness Spa’ following a tip-off from a decoy customer. This operation resulted in the arrest of 13 individuals, including four owners, two managers, and seven customers. Cases have been registered under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956, as investigations continue into the networks facilitating these activities.
