A customer at the PAUL restaurant outlet in One Horizon Centre, Gurugram, reported finding a live worm inside a sandwich. The incident occurred around 11 am on August 23, 2026, during a breakfast meal.

Sulabh Mathur, the diner, shared video footage on Instagram showing a white worm crawling over meat within a partially eaten sandwich. The video has since gained significant traction online, amassing over 1.3 million views and sparking widespread debate regarding food safety and hygiene standards at upscale dining establishments.

Following the incident, Mathur indicated that restaurant management contacted him to apologize. The viral footage has led social media users to question the quality control measures and operational protocols of the premium venue.
