Gurugram tech professional shares monthly expense breakdown

A 28-year-old tech professional, Arjun Singh, has gained social media attention after sharing a detailed breakdown of his monthly living expenses in Gurugram. Despite paying only 19,000 rupees for his share of a 2BHK flat, his total monthly expenditure reaches approximately 93,290 rupees.

His household costs include 4,000 rupees for domestic help such as a cook, maid, and car cleaner, plus 1,000 rupees for rented appliances like a washing machine and fridge. Food and fitness represent another major segment, totaling roughly 25,000 rupees monthly. This includes 14,790 rupees for groceries and supplements, 5,000 rupees for dining out, and 5,000 rupees for online food orders.

Transportation costs amount to 27,000 rupees, driven by a 20,000 rupee car EMI and 7,000 rupees for petrol. Additional lifestyle expenses include 7,000 rupees for shopping, 4,000 rupees for electricity, 2,500 rupees for badminton, 2,000 rupees for coffee, and 2,000 rupees for Wi-Fi and subscriptions. Singh noted that he avoids gym fees by utilizing facilities at his office or housing society.
