Guruh Soekarnoputra reveals spiritual meaning of song ‘Sendiri’

Guruh Soekarnoputra has revealed the spiritual meaning behind his song ‘Sendiri’, which was famously popularized by the late singer Chrisye. The clarification comes ahead of the release of a new version of the track.

According to Guruh’s personal assistant, Fathur, the explanation was provided shortly before the maestro passed away. The inquiry regarding the song's theme was initiated by Teddy from Musica Studios. Although the response was delayed due to Guruh’s declining physical health, he eventually clarified that the song is about spirituality rather than romantic loneliness.

Guruh reportedly encouraged listeners to interpret the spiritual aspects of the lyrics personally, stating, ‘Spiritualism has many forms; you find out for yourself.’
