Gus Kikin emphasizes Al-Qanun Al-Asasi as the spiritual core of NU

KH. Abdul Hakim Mahfudz, also known as Gus Kikin, emphasized the importance of Al-Qanun Al-Asasi as the spiritual foundation and ideological constitution of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU). During a national forum held at the MPR RI Building in Jakarta, Gus Kikin highlighted that the document, originally drafted by Hadratussyekh Hasyim Asy'ari, serves as a guide for thinking, leadership, and organizational struggle.

Gus Kikin noted that Al-Qanun Al-Asasi had not been prominently utilized in organizational life for some time. Over the last three years, efforts have been made to reassemble and reorganize the four chapters of the document to reintroduce and socialize its values. He stressed that NU was established based on values, scholarly traditions, and service to the nation rather than a pursuit of power.

The forum also addressed the need to actualize these values to maintain organizational ethics and leadership in the face of changing times, contributing to the broader goal of Indonesia Emas 2045.
