Gustav Iden wins silver at Ironman World Championship

Gustav Iden secured a silver medal at the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii after overcoming a three-minute time penalty for drafting during the cycling stage. Despite the penalty, Iden recorded the fastest marathon time of the day, climbing from ninth place to finish second with a time of 7:49:03, trailing winner Vincent Luis by 1 minute and 35 seconds.

In the women's race, Solveig Løvseth held the lead with approximately five kilometers remaining before losing strength and collapsing. This allowed Taylor Knibb to take the lead and finish first, while Lucy Charles-Barclay took the silver medal.

Other notable performances included American Matthew Marquardt in third place for the men, and Kristian Blummenfelt finishing eighth.
