Gustavo Busato joins Brazilian club Cuiabá
Former CSKA Sofia goalkeeper Gustavo Busato has transferred to the Brazilian club Cuiabá, which competes in Serie B. The 35-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper is expected to replace starter Marcelo Carne, who recently suffered a severe injury.
Busato, who holds the record for the most appearances by a foreign player in CSKA Sofia history with 204 matches, joined Cuiabá to provide defensive stability as the team pushes for promotion to Serie A. He has already been registered by the club and could potentially debut in the upcoming match against Botafogo-SP.
Busato previously played for Caxias do Sul in the Brazilian third division before this move. His tenure at CSKA Sofia spanned from the summer of 2017 until early 2026.
