Palmeiras secures contract extensions for Gómez and López
Brazilian football club Palmeiras has announced several key roster updates. Captain and Paraguayan defender Gustavo Gómez has signed a contract extension through December 2030. Gómez, the club's most decorated player with 13 titles, remains a central figure for the team.
Additionally, the club has reached a verbal agreement to extend the contract of Argentine striker Flaco López until 2030. This move follows the club's decision to reject a €25 million offer from Spartak Moscow for the player.
On the defensive front, Palmeiras has officially signed goalkeeper Bruno Bertinato from Portuguesa on a contract lasting until the end of 2026. Meanwhile, the club is reportedly finalizing the sale of midfielder Allan to Manchester City for a total package of approximately €40 million.
In other news, Santos has extended the contract of Bolivian midfielder Miguelito until May 2029.
