Brazilian tennis player Gustavo Heide secured a victory in his opening match at the Costa do Sauípe Challenger 125 in Bahia. Heide, ranked 113th globally, defeated Argentina's Guido Iván Justo in straight sets with scores of 7/6 (8-6) and 7/6 (7-4).

The match lasted 3 hours and 16 minutes, featuring two closely contested tie-breaks. This win serves as a rematch for Heide, who previously lost to Justo in the Curitiba Challenger final last month. With this result, Heide leads their seasonal head-to-head record 2 to 1.
