Gustavo Leão transitions from Brazilian acting to US culinary career

Former Brazilian actor Gustavo Leão has transitioned from a career in television to the culinary industry in the United States. Known for roles in Globo productions such as ‘Paraíso Tropical’ and ‘Beleza Pura’, as well as Record TV series like ‘O Rico e Lázaro’, Leão ended his acting career in 2017 to pursue a new lifestyle.

After a period of culinary studies in Vancouver, Canada, Leão and his wife, Pâmella Leão, moved to Florida. Utilizing an extraordinary ability visa based on his acting background, the couple obtained green cards and established a family business. Leão now operates Dio Santo Pizzeria, a food truck specializing in Neapolitan pizzas that has become a reference in the Orlando region.

Leão recently obtained U.S. citizenship after living in the country for seven years. Despite facing challenges, including a car accident in 2023 while transporting his work trailer, he describes his current professional life as a source of personal fulfillment.
