Gustavo Quinteros emerges as candidate for Chile national team coach

Gustavo Quinteros has emerged as a potential candidate for the position of head coach for the Chilean national football team. Reports indicate that the Chilean Football Federation has requested a meeting with the coach, who previously managed clubs such as Colo Colo and Universidad Católica, as well as Independiente in Argentina.

Former national team coach César Vaccia expressed a preference for a Chilean manager to lead the team toward the 2030 World Cup but acknowledged Quinteros as a strong candidate. Vaccia noted that Quinteros has demonstrated the necessary professional capacity and experience at the national team level to meet the requirements of the ANFP.
