Gustavo Sofovich involved in traffic accident in Palermo

Producer Gustavo Sofovich was involved in a traffic accident in the Palermo neighborhood of Buenos Aires during the early hours of Tuesday. The collision occurred at the intersection of Salguero and Martín Coronado when Sofovich’s Citroën DS4 struck a Royal Enfield motorcycle carrying two workers returning from their shifts.

A 23-year-old female passenger on the motorcycle sustained multiple traumas and was transported to Hospital Rivadavia; she is reported to be out of danger. The male motorcyclist was uninjured.

Following the incident, a significant police operation was deployed. Sofovich remained inside his vehicle for approximately two hours, which led to media reports suggesting he was “entrenched.” Sofovich later clarified that he stayed in the car due to the cold and stated that authorities did not allow him to leave until the sobriety test was conducted. The alcohol test for Sofovich and the motorcyclists returned negative results.

Sofovich provided his version of the event, stating he was driving to a service station to buy yogurt when the motorcycle attempted to pass him on the right, resulting in the impact. He expressed frustration with the media coverage, suggesting the attention was amplified because of his surname.
