Gustavo Trujillo declares promotional free agency

Undefeated heavyweight boxer Gustavo ‘The Cuban Assassin’ Trujillo has officially declared himself a promotional free agent. Currently ranked No. 13 by the WBO, the Cuban fighter holds a professional record of 12-0 with 11 knockouts, representing a 91 percent knockout rate. He is also the reigning BKB heavyweight champion with a 9-0 record.

Trujillo is scheduled to return to the ring on Sunday, October 18, 2026, for a 10-round bout against veteran Donald Haynesworth. The match will take place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, as part of the ‘Fist of Fury 13’ event organized by The Heavyweight Factory.

While exploring new promotional opportunities, Trujillo stated that his priority is to remain active and continue winning to advance his standing in the heavyweight rankings.
