Gusttavo Lima linked to VaiDeBet in Federal Police investigation

The Brazilian Federal Police have extracted messages from the mobile phone of banker Daniel Vorcaro that link singer Gusttavo Lima to the betting platform VaiDeBet. The communications, spanning 2024 and 2025, include descriptions of the artist as an ‘ambassador and partner’ of the platform by José André da Rocha Neto, one of the owners of VaiDeBet.

These findings contrast with Lima’s public statements, in which he has maintained he only holds an image rights contract and is not a corporate partner. However, documents indicate a contract addendum signed in July 2024 included provisions for economic participation for the singer and his company, GSA Empreendimentos, in the event of a sale of the brand. While this outlines potential financial benefits, it does not formally prove corporate ownership.

The messages also reveal a personal closeness between Vorcaro and Lima, including affectionate exchanges. The investigation into VaiDeBet is part of ‘Operation Integration,’ conducted by authorities in Pernambuco to investigate suspected money laundering. Although Lima was previously the subject of an arrest warrant that was later revoked, the Public Ministry has requested the dismissal of investigations against him due to a lack of evidence for indictment. Lima’s representatives stated that his interactions with Vorcaro were strictly business negotiations that did not advance.
