Guto Miguel reaches ATP Kingston 2 semifinals
Seventeen-year-old Brazilian tennis player Guto Miguel has reached the semifinals of the ATP Kingston 2 Challenger in Jamaica, marking the most significant professional result of his career. Miguel, the world number one in the junior rankings, secured his spot in the final four after defeating American Andrew Fenty in straight sets, 7-5, 7-5.
The victory, which lasted approximately two hours, is expected to result in a significant jump in Miguel's ATP ranking, potentially moving him toward the top 700. His performance in Kingston follows a previous semifinal appearance at a Challenger 50 event in Santos.
