Guto Miguel wins opening match at Kingston 2 Challenger

Brazilian tennis player Guto Miguel secured a victory in his opening match at the Kingston 2 Challenger 75 in Jamaica. The 17-year-old, currently ranked 850th professionally, defeated American Tyler Zink in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2, in a match lasting approximately one hour and 16 minutes.

This win marks Miguel's sixth victory in Challenger main draws and is expected to earn him six ATP points, potentially moving him up 59 positions in the rankings. Following this performance, he advances to the round of 16, where he will face either Karl Poling or Thomas Fancutt.

In addition to his professional progress, Miguel is the current leader of the ITF junior rankings and is scheduled to compete in the US Open junior tournament.
