Guty Carrera wins Top Chef VIP 5 and 200,000 dollars

Guty Carrera has been crowned the winner of the fifth season of the Telemundo reality cooking competition, ‘Top Chef VIP 5’. The Ecuadorian-Peruvian actor secured the title and a cash prize of 200,000 dollars.

In the live grand finale, Carrera competed against three other finalists: Ninel Conde, Lupillo Rivera, and Kelly Ríos. To determine the winner, the finalists presented their final culinary preparations to a judging panel consisting of Antonio ‘Toño’ de Livier, Inés Páez Nin (Chef Tita), and Betty Vázquez.

Carrera reached the final stage without having been eliminated or requiring a second chance through a repechage, unlike some of his competitors. Following the announcement of his victory, Carrera expressed his shock and excitement, stating, ‘I can’t believe it. Is this real? I won, I won. I am number one.’
