Guyana Amazon Warriors defeat Antigua & Barbuda Falcons in CPL

The Guyana Amazon Warriors secured their third consecutive victory in the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) with a seven-wicket win over the Antigua & Barbuda Falcons at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.

After the Falcons were bowled out for 116, the Warriors successfully chased the 117-run target in 9.5 overs. The bowling performance was headlined by Shamar Joseph, who recorded figures of 3 for 22. Joseph delivered high-speed spells, including deliveries reaching 148.3 kph, to dismiss Alzarri Joseph and Jayden Seales in quick succession. Imran Tahir and Mohammad Nabi also contributed to the pressure, with Tahir claiming two wickets.

For the Falcons, Amir Jangoo was the top scorer with 37 runs. The Warriors' victory, bolstered by contributions from Shimron Hetmyer and Shai Hope, improves their net run-rate as they continue a strong start to the season.
