Guyana education sector sees progress amid CSEC results
Following the release of the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) results, political and community voices in Guyana have commented on the state of national education. The PNCR/APNU congratulated students on their achievements, noting that their success reflects the dedication of families, teachers, and communities. The party encouraged graduates to pursue further higher education, vocational training, or employment to support national progress.
Concurrently, observations regarding the education sector highlight a narrowing performance gap between urban and rural areas, as well as between public and private institutions. Improvements in student performance across various subjects, including English and Mathematics, have been attributed to increased sector funding, curriculum reviews, and enhanced teacher training and resources.
