Guyana launches Government Service Centre in Lethem

The Government of Guyana has officially launched a new Government Service Centre in Lethem to provide essential public services to residents of Region Nine (Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo). The facility, located at the Lethem Business Incubator Centre, aims to decentralize administration and reduce the need for citizens to travel to Georgetown for official documentation.

Residents can now process passports, birth and death certificates, marriage licences, national electronic identification (e-ID) cards, and police clearance certificates at the new location. The centre also facilitates Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) documents. The initiative is intended to save residents time and travel expenses by providing a cluster of government services under one roof.
