Guyana oil revenue reaches US$2.5 billion in 2025
Guyana generated over US$2.5 billion in oil industry revenue in 2025, according to the Natural Resource Fund (NRF) Annual Report. The total inflows to the fund reached approximately US$2.509 billion, representing a 2.27% decrease from 2024 levels, primarily due to lower oil prices despite increased production.
Of these earnings, approximately US$2.1 billion came from profit oil sales, while the government received US$330.7 million in royalties. The Stabroek Block, operated by ExxonMobil, remains a central driver of this production, utilizing four Floating Production Storage and Offloading vessels to produce roughly 900,000 barrels per day.
To finance national development priorities, the government withdrew US$2.463 billion from the NRF in 2025. This amount represents a 55.3% increase in outflows compared to the previous year. The report notes that these withdrawals leave minimal remaining funds for long-term savings for future generations.
