On August 26, 2026, officers discovered a Glock 19 9mm pistol and 13 rounds of ammunition in a vehicle occupied by Singh and her husband, Shane Fordyce. The firearm is registered to fellow Opposition MP Dawn Hastings-Williams, who provided a statement and a copy of her firearm license to investigators.
Singh was released on $200,000 cash bail after providing a written statement. Her husband, Shane Fordyce, remains in police custody. The firearm, magazine, and ammunition have been transferred to the Ballistics Section at Eve Leary for examination.
