Gävle Municipality funds autumn break activities for youth

Gävle Municipality is providing over 330,000 SEK in financial support to local associations to facilitate autumn break activities for children and young people. This funding aims to ensure that the majority of activities listed in the municipal holiday calendar are free of charge.

Cultural coordinator Ida Pettersson noted that 757 children participated in supported activities during the previous autumn break. The current offerings include a wide range of interests such as football matches with Gefle IF, curling camps, music workshops, and art activities. Additionally, the Kulturskolan will host sessions for guitar, drums, and DJ workshops, while the Sportoteket facility will allow residents to borrow sports and outdoor equipment for free during the holiday period.
