Gwacheon City Council begins review of 2027 administrative plans
The Gwacheon City Council has commenced its 303rd extraordinary session, scheduled to run for ten days from October 26 to November 4. During this period, the council will review the 2027 major business reports and deliberate on 18 proposed ordinances.
Several new ordinances have been introduced by individual council members, including measures to support housing environment improvements for old homes, the promotion of calligraphy culture, and amendments to urban planning and public conflict resolution regulations.
A significant agenda item for this session is the council's formal opposition to the planned relocation of the Ministry of Justice to Sejong City. The council intends to adopt a recommendation urging the National Assembly and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to amend the Happy City Act to support the original location.
