Gwalior history-sheeter shot dead in suspected criminal rivalry
A history-sheeter identified as Chhotu Rajawat was shot dead by a group of attackers near a railway overbridge on Mela Road in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Rajawat was traveling on a motorcycle with companions when attackers intercepted him, pulled him from the vehicle, and shot him in the chest and head at close range.
Police have registered an FIR against five named individuals: Hemu Sikarwar, Dinu Sikarwar, Ranu, Rajveer, and Ajit. Preliminary investigations suggest the killing is linked to an old rivalry. Rajawat, who had over 10 criminal cases against him, had recently been released on bail after serving time for the murder of Bhola Sikarwar.
Authorities are investigating potential connections between this incident and the murder of Bhola Sikarwar a year ago. Police teams have been deployed to conduct raids at suspected locations to apprehend the accused.
