Gwalior Junior Women Hockey Academy Championship sees dominant wins

The 4th Hockey India Junior Women Academy Championship 2026 (Zone A & B) began in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh on 24 July and continued with its second day on 25 July. Twelve academy teams are divided into two pools of six, playing a round‑robin league format with three points for a win and one for a draw. The top two teams from each pool will contest the semi‑finals on 2 August, followed by a third‑place playoff and the final on 3 August.

Day 1 results included Raja Karan Hockey Academy beating Khalsa Hockey Academy 2‑0, Tamil Nadu Hockey Academy winning 8‑0 over Hockey Family Badhkhalsa NCR, Ritu Rani Hockey Academy defeating Vadipatti Raja Hockey Academy 13‑0, and Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy routing Bhai Behlo Hockey Academy Bhagta 12‑0. On Day 2, Bhai Behla Hockey Academy Bhagta defeated Mumbai Schools Sports Association 4‑0, while Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy posted a 9‑0 victory over Ritu Rani Academy. In the sub‑junior category, RK Roy Hockey Academy opened with a 4‑0 win over Mumbai Schools and a 1‑1 draw between Khalsa Hockey Academy (Kolkata) and Raja Karan Hockey Academy.
