Gwalior Police deport 13 Bangladeshi nationals

Gwalior Police have initiated the deportation of 13 Bangladeshi nationals who were allegedly residing illegally in the city. The group, consisting of seven men, three women, and three children, was apprehended by the Crime Branch on August 4 following specific intelligence.

During the verification process, which followed the Standard Operating Procedure issued by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, the individuals failed to produce valid documents establishing Indian citizenship. City Superintendent of Police Manish Yadav stated that the action follows national directives to identify illegal infiltrators in response to concerns regarding communal issues and terrorism.

A police team transported the individuals to Malda, West Bengal, to hand them over to the Border Security Force (BSF) for formal deportation. The individuals reportedly informed authorities that they had been engaged in labor work and various other businesses while settled in the area.
