Gwalior water supply disrupted by Jalapur plant power shutdown

A scheduled shutdown by the MP Electricity Board has disrupted power supply to the 160 MLD capacity Jalapur Water Treatment Plant in Gwalior. The loss of electricity caused all pumps at the facility to stop operating, preventing the 33 water tanks under the plant's jurisdiction from filling to full capacity.

As a result, water supply in several areas of the Gwalior East assembly constituency, including Murar and Thatipur, is expected to be affected on August 17. Residents in these regions may experience low water pressure and reduced supply volumes. Affected areas include DD Nagar, Adityapuram, Pinto Park, Meera Nagar, Sharda Vihar, Risala Bazar, Hurawali, Kunj Vihar, Jaderua, Adarsh Nagar, BSF Colony, RKBM, Darpan Colony, Collectorate, and Scindia Nagar.
