Gwalior man fined for viral car covered in 3,400 lipstick marks

A social media stunt in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, has resulted in a traffic fine for a local man after his car was covered in approximately 3,400 lipstick kiss marks. The vehicle, a Maruti Suzuki Swift, became a viral sensation on Instagram, garnering an estimated 5.5 million views within a single day.

Car owner Aditya Sikarwar stated that the modification was inspired by a foreign social media trend and was intended to increase his followers. His girlfriend spent between three and four hours applying the lipstick marks to the vehicle.

Following the viral spread of the video, Gwalior Traffic Police traced the vehicle using its registration number and recovered it from the Thatipur area. Authorities cited violations of the Motor Vehicles Act, noting that the extensive use of lipstick altered the vehicle's original design and appearance. Sikarwar was issued a fine of ₹5,500 and was required to clean the lipstick marks from the car's body at the police station.
