Gwanak-gu designates Seorim Dabok-gil as new shopping district

Gwanak-gu has officially designated ‘Seorim Dabok-gil,’ located near Seoul National University Venture Town Station, as a new alleyway shopping district. This designation brings the total number of such districts in Gwanak-gu to 22, the highest among all autonomous districts in Seoul.

Seorim Dabok-gil is a lifestyle-oriented commercial area consisting of 104 stores, situated at the intersection of residential zones, station areas, and university districts. With this new status, local merchants can now register to accept Onnuri gift certificates, which is expected to increase consumer convenience and boost sales.

The district has previously supported the area through eco-friendly specialized commercial projects, including landscape improvements for old buildings, smart farm installations, and the ‘Seorim Dabok Festa’ festival. Moving forward, Gwanak-gu plans to expand initiatives linking local shopping districts with Gwanak Mountain tourism resources, such as discount events and payback challenges.
